Fetty Wap, best known for the megahit ‘Trap Queen’, has been released from prison early. As you may remember, in 2022 he was sentenced to 70 months in prison for drug trafficking. At the time, they seized 500 grams of cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash. He was involved in trafficking 100 kilos of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine between June 2019 and June 2020, primarily on Long Island.
His sentence was expected to be reduced and he would be released at the end of 2026, but his release date has finally been brought forward even further. As TMZ has learned, he will remain under house arrest until November 8, thanks to his good behavior, which seems backed by the applause he received upon leaving prison.
In addition, for the next 5 years he will have to undergo drug tests, he will not be able to consume alcohol, he will need approval from federal agents to open bank accounts and all his fiscal movements will be specially monitored.
The artist has stated: «I will focus on contributing through my community initiatives and my foundation, supporting young children at risk, expanding access to education, early technology skills and vision care so they can develop into their best selves. “I am committed to moving forward with purpose and making a meaningful impact where it matters most.”
