The Mexicans Swarm present “Light Damage”a new studio album that expands on the group’s signature sound. To support it in our country, the group has announced four Spanish dates, two of them together with Long live Sweden.
The album marks a new chapter for the band, balancing a renewed sonic identity with the introspective lyricism that has defined their music in recent years.
Swarm They present an album that captures the maturity of their sound and composition. In the same way, it covers different periods in its history, up to more recent compositions that reflect the evolution of the band. The album has eleven songs, seven of which were released as singles: “Angustias”, “La Diférence”, “Errante”, “Vínculo”, “Marioneta”, “Juguete” and “Vivos”. The album includes four new songs: “Vida en el Espectro”, “Desfraces”, “Mente Adolescente” and “El Regalo”, which complete the emotional and sound arc of “Light Damage”.
“The reference is to the measure of time. Damage is an element of the human being that is so unpleasant but so necessary and present. It is an inevitable thing with which we live and transform into the people we are. There are references to trauma, depression and mental health in the songs,” in the words of Luis Humberto Navejas, main vocalist, composer and founder of Swarm.
The band is currently on tour “Light Damage Tour”which has already accumulated more than 60 dates in Mexico and the United States, with all concerts sold out. The tour will soon expand internationally with concerts in Spain, including the April 16 at the Sala Wolf in Barcelona and April 23 at the Sala Chango in Madrid. In A Coruña, April 18, and in Bilbao, April 25, The group will open the concerts of the Murcian band Long live Sweden.
