Azkena Rock Festival The programming for its 24th edition is already complete, which will bring together the rock parish again on June 18, 19 and 20. The poster closes with the incorporation of the Frenchman Carpenter Bruta leader in synthwave with hints of industrial metal, who will present his new album “Leather Temple”the veteran Louisiana bluesman Robert Finley, sponsored by Dan Auerbach, who will visit the festival before accompanying The Black Keys on their European tour; and the Madrid trio Black Maracasrepresentative of state psychedelic garage-rock.
With these confirmations, the 24th edition of Azkena Rock Festival will bring together nearly 50 artists spread over three days: the first on Thursday will be headed by the Swedish whirlwind called The Hivesthe Irish artist Imelda Mayin an exclusive show accompanied by Darrel Highman to review her most rock’n’roll repertoire; and The Addicts on their farewell tour after five decades of irreverence and punk partying.
Friday’s event will be headed by the godfather of shock rock Alice Cooperwith its theatrical horror and hard rock spectacle; Sugar on their reunion tour; Californians Circle Jerks with its hardcore punk full of rage and social message; Counting Crows with its vocalist Adam Duritz at the helm and his timeless hits; and Evaristoour historic punk icon, reviewing his timeless anthems.
Saturday’s final day will be led by Social Distortionback after their visit in 2022, to present their first album in fifteen years; Carpenter Brut with its mix of electronics and synthesizers with the most industrial metal; the former Drive-by-Truckers Jason Isbell and the 400 Unitkey figure of current alternative country; Alcala Northone of the surprises of recent years on the state scene; and the english Sleaford Modswith its punch of irony and post-punk.
