Broken Social Scene, the Canadian band known for its collective configuration and for key indie-rock albums from the beginning of the century such as ‘You Forgot It in People’ (2002), returns to the Spanish stage to present its new work available since the beginning of May, ‘Remember the Humans’.
The group confirms two dates on September 21 at La Riviera (Madrid) and September 22 at Razzmatazz 1 (Barcelona) with tickets now on sale. The dates in Spain are organized by the promoter Miles Away and are included in a broader concert tour that includes dates in North America and Europe.
Tickets for the two Broken Social Scene concerts in Spain will be priced at 45 euros + advance expenses and 60 euros at the box office. Doors will open at 8:00 p.m. on both dates.
The release of the album has coincided with the international premiere of ‘It’s All Gonna Break’, which can be seen since June 7 for the first time outside of Canada. Directed by Stephen Chung, a lifelong friend of the group, the documentary “offers an unprecedented look at the early years of the Toronto indie scene in the 2000s, through abundant never-before-seen archival material,” which portrays from within the creative context in which the band emerged.
The film “accompanies Broken Social Scene from their first concerts in small bars in the city to their consolidation as one of the most influential groups of international indie, also becoming a portrait of the friendship, creativity and community spirit that defined that generation of musicians.”
