The festival blockparty will return June 6, 2026 to the Multipurpose Black Esplanade of Madrid Ríomaintaining its daytime, open-air, single-stage format
The poster brings together five bands with a marked international presence, united by a direct and honest way of understanding live performance and by their way of approaching punk, rock and garage without losing urgency or identity.
For this year’s event, the programming says it all. Die Spitz is one of the most powerful bets of the year: a quartet from Austin (Texas) that in just a few years has managed to translate the intensity of punk and the aggressiveness of alternative metal into its own, visceral language. His first album, “Something to Consume”published in 2025 via Third Man Recordshas been widely highlighted by critics for its mix of strength, melody and politically and emotionally charged lyrics.
Women they come to blockparty at a particularly sweet moment in his career. The Barcelona band will release an album these months and, as usual, it arrives with songs that function as a generational thermometer: clear guitars, lyrics that are said almost without raising the voice and that ability so characteristic of turning everyday doubt into shared celebration.

blockparty will keep several of its hallmarks intact: a daytime format without overlaps, rest areas distributed along the esplanade and a market with independent projects and stores, among which Globo Records, Metallic’ko, Pam Crearte, Gabba Gabba Shop, Club del Disco Hortaleza and Club del Disco de Vallekas are already confirmed. Added to this is free entry for those under 16 years of age (inclusive) and a policy as unconventional as it is appreciated by its public: “Bring your sandwich, the security guard won’t take it away from you“.
