Bleachers return with hazy and romantic single

While preparing the release of a new Lana Del Rey single in which he is once again significantly involved, Jack Antonoff is enjoying the first days since the release of ‘You and Forever’, the first single from the new Bleachers album.

‘Everyone for 10 Minutes’ will hit platforms and stores on May 22 and will contain 11 tracks, among which is the already released ‘You and Forever’, one of last week’s releases.

Located halfway between the atmosphere of The National and the epic of Arcade Fire, which explodes after a patient crescendo, ‘You and Forever’ is an interesting Bleachers song that gives more than just an exercise in style. At the very least, a nebulous production full of vintage filters and a composition that finds its hook in a warm vocal harmony – like from the 40s – that repeats throughout the song.

‘You and Forever’ is about the surprise of love, in phrases like “fuck everything they’ve told me, because I just saw the heavens opening before me.” To no one’s surprise, the video includes participation from Antonoff’s wife, actress Margaret Qualley.

1 – ‘Sideways’
2 – ‘The Van’
3 – ‘We Should Talk’
4 – ‘You And Forever’
5 – ‘Dirty Wedding Dress’
6 – ‘Take You Out Tonight’
7 – ‘I Can’t Believe You’re Gone’
8 – ‘Dancing’
9 – ‘She’s From Before’
10 – ‘I’m Not Joking’
11 – ‘Upstairs At Els’
