Billie Eilish, Djo, Finneas… condemn the execution of a woman by ICE

The death of a woman who was the victim of a shooting by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent during a raid this Wednesday has shocked the United States and represents a new escalation in the support of the Donald Trump administration for the actions of this organization.

The victim, Renee Nicole Good, was 37 years old and a mother of three children. She was shot in broad daylight while she was in her car. Official information indicates that Good was at the scene of the events exercising her voluntary work as a legal observer for ICE. According to the Trump Government’s version, the woman was shot when she allegedly tried to run over the agent.

In the last few hours, a second shooting by federal immigration agents has left two injured in Portland, Oregon.

The case of Renee Good has generated special consternation in the country, since the shooting that caused her death has been documented on video. Billie Eilish has reposted several Stories remembering that this is not the first victim of ICE, and underlining its “terrorist” nature: “it has done nothing to make our streets safer.” His brother Finneas, among the personalities who have condemned Trump’s words, calling him a “piece of shit” for his support of the agents’ actions, has suggested his audience watch the video to become aware of what happened.

Other musicians have raised their voices, such as Djo, alias of ‘Stranger Things’ singer and actor Joe Keery. Djo, current global number 1 with ‘End of Beginning’, has shared Trump’s publication and has accused the president of having “zero human decency”, asking that someone “stop him.”

Sheryl Crow, who has been critical of Elon Musk for his nods to Nazism, has denounced that “this is no longer the America we know” and that “democracy has been hijacked by a corrupt government,” pointing out that “the truth matters.” Kim Gordon, for her part, has asked that the identity of Renee Nicole Good be remembered and stressed that the victim deserved to “stay safe and alive.”

The reactions have not stopped happening from other areas, such as cinema. Eva Longoria has not hesitated to call what happened a “murder” and has demanded that the agent be arrested. Amanda Seyfried has chosen to reproduce an apocalyptic quote from George Orwell’s ‘1984’. Mark Ruffalo and Ayo Edebiri have also expressed their shock on social media.
