A few days after having confirmed people like Calvin Harris and Hemlocke Springs – the latter clearly one of the revelations of the season -, Bilbao BBK Live announces its electronic section within the same venue and obviously on the same dates: July 9 to 11. Both Basoa and Lasai are legendary and essential spaces within Kobetamendi, each in its own style, and now it is time to find out which artists will accompany us.
As you know, Basoa is the rave in the forest where you can get lost and forget everything helped by the most sophisticated electronics on the planet; and Lasai, that place where the bpm’s slow down while you have the opportunity to observe the city. Some of the names that will be there are DJ Koze, 2manydjs (DJ set), Donato Dozzy, Erol Alkan, Meritxell de Soto and Somadamantina (live).
As for Basoa, we will see 2manydjs and Erol Alkan b2b Optimo (Espacio); to DJ Koze, the fusion of Latin sounds with house by Paula Tape, the queer celebration of Dee Diggs and the recovery of updated 90’s imaginaries by Guim. As a special dish for the 20th anniversary of Bilbao BBK Live we will see Donato Dozzy and DJ Nobu; also to Vlada, Sedef Adasï and Miravalles. Completing the lineup are Bashkka, Badsista, Nicolas Lutz, and Mattias El Mansouri.
As for Lasai, we will have the Minor AM collective with Suze Ijó, James Massiah, Livwutang, Joni DJ and Amelia Holt, in “sessions that connect club, bass and alternative sounds.” On the other hand, Meritxell de Soto will sign a curatorship focused on “more experimental territories within the contained tempos, bringing together Elena Barker, Genosidra, Somadamantina (live), Torus and herself.”
Ylia, Toni Bass, Alexis Le-Tan and the Catalan duo Iro Aka complete the line-up.
We remind you that you will be able to see people like Lily Allen, Robbie Williams, David Byrne, Dellafuente, CMAT, Belle & Sebastian, Belén Aguilera and a long etcetera in Bilbao BBK Live. The vouchers are still on sale on the festival website at a promotional price until Tuesday, March 17 at 11:00 a.m., when there will be a price change.
