More than one hundred and eighty artists will participate in the twenty-fifth anniversary of the New York Flamenco Festival, among which the singers stand out Angeles Toledo, Rocio Marquez and Rosario La Tremendita
In New Yorka city where the streets pulse with a thousand accents, figures like Carmencita, The Argentinite, Carmen Amaya, You know, Vicente Escudero, Mario Escudero either Paco de Luciaamong other flamenco references, found a place that transformed their artistic expression. The 25th anniversary of Flamenco Festival New York It will have a program that will evoke that endless love story between the city of skyscrapers and flamenco. They will stage a total of 40 performances in 20 venues. New York, Miami, Tampa, Chicago and Bostonwith stages that are already common at the festival, such as the New York City Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub either Rouletteto which many others are added.
Besides, Flamenco Festival will continue to celebrate great figures of Spanish music. Bobby Sanabrialeader of Ascension Bandwill pay tribute to Lola Flores accompanied by the singer Mara Reywho debuted as a soloist in New Yorkand by the young voice of Jennifer Jade. On the other hand, the Centennial Memorial Temple will host a concert dedicated to Manuel de Fallaon the 150th anniversary of his birth, by the Manhattan Wind Ensemble.
