Bad Bunny has received his first Emmy thanks to his memorable show at the Super Bowl Halftime. The Puerto Rican collected the statuette during the Creative Arts Emmys award ceremony, held before the main gala. This will be broadcast on September 14 from Los Angeles.
The show had 9 nominations, of which it ended up winning 7. It turns out that the Puerto Rican’s Halftime became the most nominated in the history of the awards. In addition to the one dedicated to Bad Bunny himself, the show also won in the categories of Best Musical Direction, Choreography, Sound Mixing, Technical Direction, Lighting Design, and Special Program Direction.
Bad Bunny was not the only musical artist to receive recognition during this Saturday night, with Sabrina Carpenter also taking home an Emmy for her participation in ‘The Muppets Show’ special. With the Grammy and the Emmy in their possession, both artists are halfway to winning the four major awards in the industry, in the absence of the Oscar and the Tony.
