The musical contest, promoted by the Barakaldo City Council, will celebrate its finale on Saturday, September 26, in the San Bizente park in Barakaldo, with free access.
We already know the names of the nine musical proposals selected for the final of the eighth edition of Hiriko Soinuakwhich will take place on Saturday, September 26 in the San Bizente park in Barakaldo. The contenders for the main prize will be the rock quartet from Basauri Cabaretthe band formed in Plentzia Norman Bates and the young indie-rock trio Silkat. The proposals aspiring to win the award for Best Artist in Barakaldo will be the personal project of Lara Beriain Ramos Larssthe quartet with new wave influences Basic Life Support and from the left bank Last Nomads. Those who will compete for the BBK-Equality Award will be the artist Eradiotarra Lova Loisthe sextet from Bilbao Tangerines in the sun and the Basque band Xendra.
The winning proposals will perform at the festival Hiriko Soinuakwhich will take place on October 23 and 24 in the Herriko plaza in Barakaldo, with artists with renowned careers.
The jury of the contest will be made up of the artist Janire López (from the band SUA), Jon Asier Zubelzu (head sound technician at Gaua Estudio) and Iker Bárbara (coordinator of the Euskal Herria-La Rioja edition of the specialized media MondoSonoro). The eighth edition of Hiriko Soinuak has had 150 musical projects registered, once again surpassing its record.
