Olivia Rodrigo sings with Stevie Nicks and Alanis at her festival

Olivia Rodrigo’s festival, Daisy Chain Fields, was held with great success this weekend, bringing together in the same venue some of the best artists in the entire industry: Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Garbage… and Olivia herself, of course. She is the one who has starred in two of the great moments of this first edition, along with two iconic artists.

The first surprise was the departure of Stevie Nicks during Olivia Rodrigo’s set to perform ‘Landslide’ together, but the most exciting thing ended up being the guest singer’s words about Olivia: “She reminds me of me, when I was her age a hundred years ago. “It’s fascinating that he was able to do all this, because it’s very difficult, you have no idea, to put all this together with so many people,” Nicks declared on stage.

She was not the only guest of the day. Karen O was forced to cancel her set due to a “family emergency”, so Rodrigo filled the gap by reuniting with Alanis Morissette to perform a duet of ‘Ironic’. Sara McLachlan also did not miss the event, singing ‘Building a Mystery’ and ‘Angel’, dedicated to Dolly Parton, with the author of ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’.

The fundraiser was an absolute success, raising $10 million from festival profits alone and adding another $10 million thanks to a special donation from Melinda French Gates. Just today, Olivia Rodrigo said on her Instagram page that “watching Daisy Chain come to fruition has been the greatest joy of my career.”
