It was already clear that ‘BbY WOW’ was the unexpected hit from Karol G’s latest album. Now, it is also the reason why Judeline and Russowsky have achieved their first global hit, by positioning themselves in first place in Spotify’s top 50 Global: “I’m stiff, I don’t understand anything,” the Andalusian artist has declared online.
After this new milestone, Judeline becomes the first Spanish artist to achieve a number 1 song in the world. Rosalía came close with her duet with Bad Bunny in ‘LA NOCHE DE ANOCHE’, which reached number 2, and alone with ‘DESPECHÁ’, which reached seventh place. On the other hand, Aitana was able to position herself at number 35 in the top with ‘SUPERESTRELLA’.
The reaction of the artist from Los Caños de Meca on her TikTok profile is not wasted: «I woke up from a nap and I saw that the song with Karol is number 1 in the world. I don’t understand anything. I’m not being aware of the magnitude of being on a number 1 song, having my name there. “What the hell, I’m from Barbate, what are you telling me,” he declared through tears.
Of course, it is also Rusowski’s first global hit, but it is not the first time that a Spanish artist reaches the top. Íñigo Quintero already did it with ‘Si No estars’, as crazy as it may seem, and Quevedo and Bizarrap repeated it with their 52nd session, unofficially titled ‘Quédate’. He celebrated this with an Instagram post in which he did not get complicated: “Dreaming,” he shared.
