Now there is official confirmation. “Perfect”which will be the ninth album by Queens Of The Stone Agewill see the light next October 30 via Matador Records/Popstock!
Although it was initially said that the album would be published sometime in September, the release date for what will be the ninth full-length album by the band led by Josh Homme, Queens Of The Stone Age, has been made official. On October 30 you will be able to listen to a complete album in which the American band combines its rock side with a more intimate and perhaps dark one.
At the time of the announcement, the new song “Insignificant Other” has also been shared, which could be considered the centerpiece of the album. It is the second of only two takes and “it is a song about distance. About how someone can be your whole world and, suddenly, just disappear. And about the strange vertigo that comes with being on the side of the person who suffers it,” explains Homme in this regard.
On the other hand, the album announcement is accompanied by a video directed by Chapman Baehler and starring Big Chongus as the embodiment of “perfect”. Accompanied by Ruby Homme, Max Homme, Pumpkin Van Leeuwen, Isabella Puppolini (Izzy) Van Leeuwen and Reesa Shuman.
Produced by Homme and band member Michael Shuman, “Perfect” will be available on CD and standard black vinyl at all retail outlets; on clear vinyl at independent stores; and in a limited Deluxe edition, available exclusively in the group’s and Matador’s online stores.
The album will include nine songs in total: “It’s Only Love”, “Insignificant Other”, “Where The Goth Girls At?”, “Mono”, “From The Cliff”, “Sunday”, “Easy Street”, “Phantom Limb” and “Run Away From The Mod”. At the moment, tour dates have also been confirmed, but mainly for the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan.
