Phoebe Bridgers accepts herself in the moody 'I Can't Wait'

Phoebe Bridgers takes top 1 in the UK; KATSEYE, the one from the USA

Phoebe Bridgers is the brand new number 1 in the United Kingdom with what is being our Album of the Week, ‘Lost Weekend’. In its first week it has sold 34,239 copies, of which more than 16,500 have been on vinyl and almost 8,900 on CD. The tape copies and downloads have been more testimonial (250 and 800), but the streaming points have not been negligible: almost 8,000.

In fact, they have been enough to place 3 songs in the top 100: ‘Lost Weekend’ is number 39 in singles in the UK, ‘The Governer’s Waltz’ reaches number 53, and the single ‘Lost Boys’, which was already in the top 50, manages to re-enter at number 69. Curiously, the focus track ‘I Can’t Wait’ has been left off the charts.

It is Phoebe Bridgers’ first solo album to reach number 1 in the British Isles, since her debut did not go beyond number 173 and ‘Punisher’ was top 6. Of course, both were great long-term hits, reaching 150,000 copies and almost 200,000, respectively, only within the islands. Which has a lot to do with ‘The Record’ from his side project Boygenius being number 1.

All this hit leaves Katseye’s notable EP, ‘WILD’, at number 2, which has sold much less, 18,900 copies in the UK.

However, the OCC itself emphasizes that positions will be exchanged as far as the United States is concerned. According to forecasts, Katseye have sold 170,000 units of ‘WILD’ and will be number 1 on the Billboard 200, while in that case Phoebe Bridgers will have to settle for position 2, after selling around 110,000 units these first few days.
