Ariana Grande has once again clashed with the Trump administration after the US president’s official campaign account used ‘we can’t be friends (wait for your love)’ in her latest video. It is the second time this has happened to the singer in two months.
The Team Trump video reads: “My truth and I sat in silence… Men cannot have babies and should never compete in women’s sports.” Ariana has taken the trouble to go directly to the comments box to order that this not happen again: “Don’t use my music ever again. Furthermore, your truth is false,” he stated.
Last June, Grande had to resort to the same thing after ICE used the song ‘bye’ in a video: “Please never use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhuman and horrible nonsense. Fuck ICE,” he commented at the time.
