Members of Green Day, Blink-182 and Rancid will honor Ramones

This year marks fifty years since the first album by Ramones. And in Los Angeles there will be a tribute concert with a luxury supergroup.

He next August 30 will take place in Los Angeles a tribute event to Ramones, The Official Ramones 50th Anniversary Tribute. And we have no doubt that it will be a night to remember.

And, after a presentation by none other than John Travoltathey will perform live Cretin Family. The name, obviously, won’t tell us much. At least until we find out who its members are.

Cretin Family will exclusively perform Ramones material and will do so in the best possible way, since its members are Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Travis Barker (Blink-182), Tim Armstrong (Rancid) and himself CJ Ramonewho was the group’s bassist during its last years.

Proceeds from the concert will go to breast cancer research. Ellison Institute Research Foundation.

As if there wasn’t enough, the concert will close with the screening of “Carrie”horror film classic directed by Brian de Palma which also turns fifty years old, and from the film “Come fly with me” (Propeller One-Way Night Coach)”, directed, scripted and starring John Travolta, from a book also his.

To all this we can also add a DJ session by the artist and graphic designer Shepard Fairey, known as OBEY.
