The American band Interpol has released two new songs, using them to announce what will be his new full-length. One of them gives the album its name, “This Mirror Weighs a Ton.”
“This Mirror Weighs a Ton” and “See Out Loud” are the first two songs that we will hear when playing, starting from August 28Interpol’s new job. The band will publish “This Mirror Weighs a Ton” by Partisan Records. It will be their eighth full-length, but the first they will publish with this label after releasing everything before on Matador.
Without new songs since it saw the light “The Other Side of Make-Believe”which was published in 2022, Interpol return to the news with these two songs that have been produced by Andrew Wyattrenowned producer who has worked with artists such as Charli XCX, Dua Lipa or Lizzoand who serves as vocalist in the electronic pop band Mike Snow. Recently, he has also been one of the composers who have participated in “LUX” of Rosaliaspecifically in “Sauvignon Blanc” and “Omega”. The mixtures, for their part, have run hand in hand with David Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev).
The album will include a total of twelve songs, which are as follows: “This Mirror Weighs a Ton”, “See Out Loud”, “Iron City”, “Wounded Soldier”, “Wings On Fire”, “Ever the Actor”, “So Rides the Reindeer”, “Darling Thoughts”, “Wake Up”, “Enemy”, “Bird and the Serpent” and “Sudden”.
