Luxury collaboration to announce what will be the Americans’ twentieth album Weezer. This is “We Might As Well Be Strangers” and in it they have Karly Hartzmanof Wednesdayas a guest star.
Weezer once again use a color to describe one of their albums, which is actually called “Weezer”clear. But we will know how “Gold Album”precisely because its cover will be this color and it will see the light on next August 21.
The album will be number twenty in their discography and to announce it there is nothing better than the song “We Might As Well Be Strangers”, in which Karly Hartzman, vocalist and leader of Wednesday, collaborates. It is, therefore, the second piece that we have been able to hear from the album –after “Shine Again”, released a few months ago–, which will feature the production of Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blumebetter known artistically as Kenny Beats.
In addition to this song and “Shine Again”, “Gold Album” will include other new songs such as “Say Yes”, “Don’t Make It Weird”, “CEO” – which they describe as the sequel to “Undone” –, “Hoops”, “The Show Must Go On”, “Up In the Clouds”, “Nowhere” and “The LA Sound”, with a good part of them composed by all the members of the group and not just by Rivers Cuomo.
