Sabrina Carpenter has obtained a restraining order against a man who was allegedly harassing her and who even tried to enter her home in Los Angeles without permission. In this way, a court has prohibited William Applegate, 31, from being within 100 yards (91 meters) of the artist, her sister or the latter’s partner.
The artist claims that Applegate showed up at her door and tried to force it open on May 23, but she later discovered that the man had been harassing her since April 20. “I am afraid of what he might do if he is not stopped by this court,” Carpenter wrote in his petition.
After the man hit the artist’s security guard and he asked him to leave, he claimed that he knew Sabrina and that she was waiting for him, which is reflected in the documents as something “totally false.”
However, the man returned to the neighborhood over the next two days. Applegate is scheduled to appear in court on June 18: “His delirious insistence that he knows me and that I was waiting for him is indicative of a dangerous and irrational fixation on me,” Sabria wrote in his statement.
