Desdemona reissues five of Sex Museum’s first albums

The first works of the historic Madrid band Sex Museum have been recovered by Desdemonaand they will soon have new physical editions supervised by the group itself.

From now on, five of his fundamental albums are back on available on streaming platforms thanks to a new agreement with Desdemona Musica Madrid label specialized in rock, garage, psychedelia and hard rock, publishing both established artists and new groups.

The discs in question are “Fuzz Face” (87), “Sex Museum vs Los Macana” (88), “Independence” (89), “Sparks” (94) and “sum” (96), which represent five decisive references to understand the sound evolution of the group and state alternative rock in recent decades.

Sex Museum were among the pioneers of the Madrid underground scene and one of the fundamental bands that emerged in the Movida years. From its garage and mod roots to psychedelia and hard rock, the group expanded its language over time but without losing its identity elements, consolidating itself as one of the most solid names in national live music.

The next physical reissuescurrently in preparation, will also have the direct supervision of the group, reinforcing the value of essential works to understand the history of Spanish independent rock.
