Poster for the 18th edition of Andoaingo Rock Jaialdia

On Saturday, June 13, the free festival returns to Andoain with a day full of music led by the Manchester quartet Maruja.

The Andoaingo Rock Jaialdia will once again fill Andoain with guitars, noise and free concerts on June 13 with its usual programming as varied as it is powerful. The festival celebrates its 18th edition this year, once again betting on mixing scenes, styles and emerging bands from here and abroad.

Among the names on the poster, the Manchester quartet stands out especially Marujaone of the bands that is causing the most talk on the European circuit thanks to its explosive mix of jazz, punk, noise-rock and spoken word. The Belgians will also be there Lezardwith that nervous and danceable post-punk that at times reminds us of Talking Heads or The B-52’s.

The main poster of Nafarroa Plaza is completed by those from Madrid The Petuniaswho continue to bring their cheeky and fun punk throughout the peninsula; the Barcelonans Paco I love youwith its songs between shoegaze, emotional indie and generational irony; the people of pamplona Ex-boyfriendsalready converted into a cult group within the independent scene thanks to their mix of pop, garage and psychedelia; and Silitia from Bilbao, always unpredictable on stage with their particular “brioche-pop” loaded with alternative rock, electronics and a great sense of humor.

In addition to the main concerts, the festival will maintain its usual midday “Aperitif” program, spread across different squares in the town. They will also pass through there Barrrk, English and Katiuskak.

New this year, the musical podcast “Norbait Hil Da Hemen”, presented by Nahia Novo, will record one of its episodes live from Goikoplaza interviewing one of the participating bands. Behind all this are still Marcos and Juancar, the soul of the historic store and promoter from Irunda. Bloody Marywhich after 36 years continue to bet on proposals far from the conventional. In total there will be nine bands that will go through this new edition of the Andoaingo Rock Jaialdiareaffirming the spirit of the festival: free concerts, a mix of styles and a young program open to all types of sounds.
