Talk Talk will celebrate forty years of “The Color of Spring” in London

TalkTalk They will celebrate the fortieth anniversary of their album “The Color of Spring” with a unique concert in London, the next September 5. Unfortunately it will not be part Mark Holliswho died in 2019.

The band has announced their reunion for a unique concert in London which will commemorate the fortieth anniversary of the premiere of “The Color Of Spring“, one of his most successful albums. On September 5, the O2 Forum Kentish Town will host the celebration concert in which musicians such as Simon Brennerfounding keyboardist of the group, along with Phil Ramocon and Ian Curnowwho will perform the entire album. They will also accompany them Sophie Barker (Zero 7), Gale Paridjanian (Turin Brakes), Tim Eisenburg (Sweet Billy Pilgrim), Chris Hampson and Jacob Brown.

The Color Of Spring” was released in February 1986 and represented an important transition for the group, adopting a more experimental style that laid the foundation for “Spirit Of Eden” and “Laughing Stock“, their next albums. The band was led by Mark Holliswho died in 2019 at age 64.

TalkTalk was one of the most popular English bands in the 1980s. With 5 albums released, the group dissolved in 1991. Even so, in 2021 they released “Talk Talk: In A Silent Way“, a documentary that focuses its argument on the creation of the album “Spirit Of Eden“Last February, under the supervision of Charlie Hollisson of Mark Hollis, along with Lee Harris (band drummer) and producer Matt Coltonthey released a vinyl reissue of “Spirit Of Eden”.
