Of the October 2 to 4 in Formentera, SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia will celebrate its tenth anniversary reaffirming its intimate, sustainable festival model far removed from large mass formats.
The event will once again bring together only three hundred and fifty attendees in different locations on the island. Maintaining its philosophy of “festival for those who flee from festivals”.
Under the idea of “(re)discovering” both the festival itself and Formentera, this special edition will bring back some of the most notable artists who have passed through the event during the last decade and will also add new names. As usual, the lineup will remain secret until the dates close to the festival.
Since its birth, SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia has built a proposal based on music, local gastronomy, beer culture and the positive impact on the territory. The festival has the TRUE Platinum Zero Waste seal and maintains collaborations with environmental projects such as Save Posidonia.
Throughout its first nine editions, artists such as The Vaccines, Baiuca, Maria Arnal i Marcel Bagés, Jorge Drexler, Queralt Lahoz... In total, the festival has hosted seventy-eight artists, eighty-three concerts and seventeen DJ sets.
The relationship with the island continues to be one of the pillars of the project. During these years the festival has promoted routes and activities to discover the natural and cultural heritage of Formentera. In addition to betting on shared mobility and working with companies and restaurants in the area.
Tickets will go on sale in three phases. On May 28, an exclusive pre-sale will open for attendees of previous editions. While general passes will be available on June 3 and 10 at 12:00 p.m. through the official website of the festival.
