TOMORAthe new duo formed by AURORA and Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brotherspresent their new single “SOMEWHERE ELSE”.
This new topic is TOMORA in its purest form. A distillation of sound, message and super-powerful sounds, the song is part of the duo’s upcoming album, “COME CLOSER”. “SOMEWHERE ELSE” begins with a beautiful vocal melody and melds into a rhythm track that is both ecstatic and relentlessly heavy. All of this dissolves into something intimate and indescribable.
About the new single, AURORA says: “‘SOMEWHERE ELSE’ is one of the first songs we wrote as a TOMORA. And it opened a great door to our world.” Tom adds: “Since AURORA He sang that melody to me, it hasn’t stopped running through my head, making my day. We played an early version of the song at Glastonbury Festival and it was magical. Now we can share it, it is a total joy.”
The first transmission of TOMORA came in the form of the debut single “RING THE ALARM”, which received widespread success upon its release. NME called the song “epic”, while Clash commented that its “crisp, icy electronic tones contain a sense of danger, while Aurora’s voice contains a palpable urgency.”
“COME CLOSER”the debut album of Tom and AURORA as TOMORAis less about two disparate artists finding a fertile middle ground and more about the sound of a tenacious duo connecting in the studio and reaching great creative peaks together. Throughout the twelve-track album, Tom and AURORA They build their own unique space, a place where they can produce the magic and electricity that comes from flipping through a perfect record collection.
The release precedes the first live concerts of TOMORAwhich will take place in the New Century Hall from Manchester on March 25before reaching the EartH Hackney from London on March 26. While in Spainthey will pass through Madrid he July 8 in Botanist’s Nights and for Bilbao between the 9th and 11th of the same month at the festival Bilbao BBK Live.
