Martin Urrutia details his debut inspired by Carmen Laforet

Martin Urrutia has his debut album ready, an album called ‘La Insolación’ that can be heard starting April 10. According to the tracklist available on Apple Music, the album includes the three previews published so far: ‘Nuevos SERVICIOS’ – a sublime puzzle – will open the full-length, the beautiful ‘Otro Verano’ will follow on track 2, and ‘Nadadora’, the Family version, will be the penultimate cut.

‘El Destello’ with Juanjo Bona – a single from 2024 – is left out of this work produced entirely by Hidrogenesse, who had already worked with an Operación Triunfo contestant, Amaia Romero, on the Stella Maris album.

The title of ‘La Insolación’ is inspired by the work of the writer Carmen Laforet, who published a novel of the same name in 1963.

‘La Insolación’ will include songs with interesting titles such as ‘They have given me a pen’ or ‘1,000 starlings’. This is how the complete repertoire looks like:
1.- New Memories
2.- Another summer
3.- Let it go
4.- They gave me a pen
5.- 1,000 starlings
6.- Jéremie
7.- Sunstroke
8.- Empty pool
9.- Swimmer
10-. I’m ready

Urrutia, in an interview with JENESAISPOP, praised Hidrogenesse’s work, highlighting their particular sound: «There is a connection there. They told me that my voice seemed very particular to them, that they wanted to work on it more. Of course, their sound is super special, super differentiating. It is true that they are very much into production, from the analog synthesizers that they have at home, with which they make the sound from scratch with the roulette wheels… and it shows in the demos that they give me, in the sound, which is special. “It’s an experience.”
