It doesn’t matter that Marcos Terrones changes his stage name, because his unmistakable stamp has not left the songs. marquitos, formerly known as ODDLIQUOR, will release the first album of his new era on March 20 and the previews indicate a much more personal side of the artist. What is more personal than true love?
‘AURAAA’ is one of Marquitos’ compositions that is most reminiscent of those he did as ODDLIQUOR, probably because of the synthesizer loop that runs through the entire song. The powerful bass and that original phrasing are also a trademark of the house. However, the fact that the song works so well is due a lot to the melody in phrases like “I don’t want to make a thousand women fall in love with me / I just want to make the one who fell in love with me a thousand times.”
This is a blunt love song, with Marquitos dedicating the entire song to his “soul mate,” his , whom he also describes as “double of everything I asked God for in my life.” Even when Marcos is talking about himself, he is talking about her: “I give off an aura that I don’t even understand and it’s too much for you / Because she always goes with me wherever I go even if you don’t see her here.”
At the end of the song, Marquitos inserts a nice audio of what seems to be J Balvin. He invited Marquitos to his house in Medellín to work as a composer and producer on his latest album, specifically on the song ‘Rio’: «How is my child going to get it that clear? Releasing music for educational purposes, another level daddy,” the Colombian says at the end of the song.
