Slayyyter shoots evil in ‘DANCE…’

Slayyyter releases their new album ‘WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA’ on March 27. The successor to the notable ‘STARFUCKER’ has been promoted with singles like ‘BEAT UP CHANEL$’, the guitar-driven ‘CANNIBALISM!’ and the voguero ‘CRANK’, but it was the fourth one that finished cajoling us. For some reason he is the one selected to open the length.

‘DANCE…’, our Song of the Day, emerges from tremendous catacombs, even with sounds in drone mode. Halfway between ‘Thriller’ and Daft Punk, it would have been an excellent option to promote on Halloween.

The theme sounds so terrifying because it talks about evil “creatures”, playing with the double meaning between a problem with someone and the inner fears that can arise from that. “I almost hate you, but I don’t care, let me dance,” says that chorus, so Lady Gaga.

The second verse continues: “I will never understand why creatures like you crawl towards me every night”, so the video is also its own horror movie. A way to escape domestic violence, through fantasy and dance music.

There is a “radio edit”, as Tove Styrke would say, for “impatient people”, although it is in its 5-minute version that the song is enjoyed in all its magnitude.
