Yard Act They will have a new album next year, “Where’s My Utopia”from which they preview the danceable and at the same time critical “Dream Job”.
“Where’s My Utopia” will see the light March 1, 2024 and, once the preview “Dream Job” has been heard, it is clear that it will be an addictive album that will make the group grow in public. Because its danceable and catchy potential without giving up its critical spirit combine perfectly.
After anger at a world that does not turn out to be what I expected, James Smith He has shed his tears and has decided to respond with a dance song that seems like a theatrical monologue or an almost political statement. The single is presented with a curious video clip, to say the least, that simulates a chaotic and fantastic filming and that helps us begin to locate ourselves in the band’s next work. Yard Act’s universe continues to be just as disturbing, crazy and post-punk, and with their second album we expect nothing less. In fact, as the artist explains, it is the continuation of his acclaimed debut album “The Overload”but with a little more depth and experimentation.
“Where’s My Utopia” will be available starting March 1, 2024 through Island, and will be a work that will be produced by the member of Gorillaz Remi Kabaka Jr. The album will be on platforms, but will also be released on CD, vinyl, picture disc and cassette.
It is worth remembering that the group will be performing live in our country in April of next year, specifically in Madrid (April 9, Sala Mon) and Barcelona (April 11, La (2) de Apolo).
