The post-punk and gothic rock quartet New Wave Kill has become Esmerarte’s new signing, which means that they take his career very seriously. Today they premiere the clip for “Between Shadows” with us.
The Madrid-based quartet defines itself as a combination of “goth” and “post-punk.” What is evident is that they know how to breathe sounds with a lot of tradition behind them and give them a modern patina that can bring them closer to many well-known names. Today we premiere the video clip for “Between Shadows”, directed by Irene Montes.
“Between Shadows” is produced by the Swede Wave Ersfjord (Lucifer, Tribulation) and in this song the singer, guitarist and composer Felipe Vein It distills influences from classics like The Sisters Of Mercy, Chelsea Wolfe, Joy Division, Nick Cave or even the first New Order. Now, if there has been a reference that has marked this song in Siouxsie Sioux, specifically her song “Arabian Knights”, a piece that was playing when Vein decided to shape this presentation clip that comes after the singles “Cold Night” and “Maze Of The Devil”. The rest of the band are keyboardist Iulia Richea, drummer Juan Córdoba and bassist Nico Aguirre.
