Thurston Moore announces, through a statement, the cancellation of the promotional tour by USA regarding the book of memoirs that he has published under the name of “Sonic Life”.
What was once one of the components of Sonic Youth He had planned a tour of the United States at the end of October to promote his book “Sonic Life”a memoir in which he recounts his life in New York and the founding of Sonic Youth. Unfortunately, he has had to change plans citing a long-term health condition that, in his words, has greatly weakened his physical condition over the last few weeks.
Moore, at sixty-five years old, states in the statement that he has been suffering from a medical condition for years, but that, until now, it had not prevented him from recording or going on tour. This time the doctors have recommended that he not travel for the moment. In the same statement he regrets not being able to share, first-hand, with his fans, the book on which he has been working for years. Moore is currently in the United Kingdom, so it is more likely that he will keep the promotional dates in the country that should take place in November. “Sonic Life” will go on sale next October 24th.
