The Smilethe band formed by Johnny Greenwood and Thom Yorke (Radiohead) and Tom Skinner (Sons Of Kemet), announces his new album, “Wall Of Eyes”with a video clip signed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
The Smile have just revealed details of what will be their new album, “Wall Of Eyes”. The most important thing is to know that the 26 of January via XL Recordings. The album will be the continuation of “A Light For Attract Attention”which the trio released in 2022. Now we can hear “Wall Of Eyes” as a new preview, the title track of the album and which joins the previously known “Bending Hectic.”
But what better way to present the album to society than to release the video clip of the title song directed by none other than Paul Thomas Andersonfor whom Greenwood usually signs excellent soundtracks.
“Wall Of Eyes”the new album, was recorded between Oxford and Abbey Road Studios, and is produced and mixed by his previous collaborator Sam Petts-Davies and has string arrangements of the London Contemporary Orchestra. At the moment eight songs have been listed that will be part of the work: “Wall Of Eyes”, “Teleharmonic”, “Read The Room”, “Under Our Pillows”, “Friend Of A Friend”, “I Quit”, “Bending Hectic” and “You Know Me!”.
