Sonic Beast finally debuts in the studio with “It's A Trap”

The Catalan punk rock supergroup Sonic Beast debuts with a first single, “It’s A Trap”. And why do we talk about a supergroup? Well, because the lineup includes members of already established bands such as Bullitt, No More Lies, Illinoise and Bad Mongos.

The Catalan punk-rock supergroup, composed of Alfred (Illinoise), Chris (Bad Mongos), Roger (No More Lies) and Xavi (Bullitt)will release their debut album, “Accidental”, on October 27 via BCore/Saltamarges. But for now you can hear a first preview, “It’s A Trap”, which stylistically reminds us of some of their main influences, that is, Weezer, Hot Snakes, Leatherface, Hot Water Music and so many other groups that we love.

In any case, it is the second piece that we can hear from the group after “I Got Nails”, which was released last July. In any case, “It’s A Trap” is not only a new sample of what Sonic Beast can offer us, but it is also a tribute to the Star Wars universe (the phrase comes from Admiral Ackbar).

On the other hand, the group has already announced its first concerts. We can see them in Granollers (October 27, Fusiònica Festival), Barcelona (October 28, Blocnroll Fest; October 29, Deskomunal, with Not Scientists, and November 1, Heliogàbal, with Tano!), La Bisbal d’Empordà (November 9, Alternativa, with Bullitt and Cotton Guest) and Sant Feliu de Guíxols (December 16, with Serpent).
