The veteran singer and songwriter Pokey LaFarge will go on a tour that has included six dates in cities in Spain, including October and November. Once again it will infect us with its retro sound and fantastic aesthetics.
The American artist has announced dates in Spain in Valencia, Barcelona, Saragossa, Madrid, Santiago and Bilbao. Throughout his career, he released nine albums, including a stint on Jack White’s Third Man Records label.
Inspired both by distant geographic locations such as Africa or South America and the closer American southwest, LaFarge launched a body of work that united emotional lyrics with catchy melodies and an irresistible groove. This is how it was born “In The Blossom Of Their Shade” (21), his last published album, with which he positively showed this process of coming out of the darkness towards the light, like the perfect soundtrack of a summer afternoon, without falling into the repetition of swing and blues patterns. of his first works.
