Our new podcast Music + Talk is now available, in this case starring Quique González and that was recorded live with an audience.
We met in our studio in Madrid with Quique González in a new edition of the Mondosonoro Music and Talk podcast in which the musician chatted with our editor Sergio Ariza and in front of an audience that was lucky enough to be able to attend.
The author of “Crossed Lives” came there to talk about his twenty-five years of career, a milestone that he is celebrating with a commemorative box that includes his entire songbook, in a spectacular edition, as well as a new album called “Yacht Cups Vol.I”. And the best thing is that it was a new session with an audience, who could ask questions directly to the artist and participate in the talk. Listen to the full podcast in this same link.
“Yacht Cups Vol.I” includes versions of songs by authors he admires who write, like him, in Spanish, people like Santiago Auseron, Josele Santiago, Kiko Venenothe Argentinian Charlie Garcia either Carlos Canowhich provides the only song that he had not heard before and that takes, in his own words, to Tom Waits territories, helped by Toni Brunet who also accompanies him and with which he delights his followers at the end of the interview performing a couple of beautiful acoustic renditions of “Daiquiri Blues” and “Nadie will be able to us”, belonging to his 2009 album “Daiquiri Blues”one of those that he is recovering for the tour in which he is celebrating those twenty-five years and in which, little by little, other works from his career will be included, although not all of them, not all of them in their entirety.
