Bands interested in participating in this edition, which will take place on January 2, 3 and 4, can register between November 10 and December 8.

Once again, the beginning of the year will have the earliest festival, the Current from Logrono. The first 500 blind tickets have already gone on sale, which were sold out in less than 24 hours, and they will receive as a gift an exclusive design bag made with the canvas and banners from previous editions.

Likewise, with the aim of betting on the talent of the country’s youngest artists and bands, the Guerra de Bandas will return with “a format characterized by diversity and musical quality that returns to accommodate more risky and less commercial”. The War of the Bands has always been one of the hallmarks of Actual because “it keeps alive the spirit of the first editions of the festival, allowing us to enjoy some of those voices called to star in the music scene of tomorrow,” according to the organizing institution. .

Bands interested in participating can now consult on the web the bases to register for this new edition that will take place on January 2, 3 and 4, 2024 in the Logroño Foundry Room. The contest is aimed at national groups of all styles and the registration period will remain open until December 8, 2023.
A jury made up of professionals from the sector, “which on this occasion will also have the point of view of musical teaching with the participation of a UNIR professor, will select a total of 10 groups or soloists, who will compete for a prize consisting of a contract of €2,500 to be part of the Actual 2025 program. In addition, “a public prize of 300 euros will be awarded through in-person voting by attendees during the two semifinals.” On the other hand, the organization will help finance travel expenses with 150 euros and will facilitate accommodation for those bands whose place of origin is at a distance equal to or greater than 120 kilometers from Logroño.

In the last decade, Superfuzz, Debruces, The Royal Flash, Bware, Tipitako, The Owl Project, Repion, Inocua and Bamboo Bebop They have been the bands awarded in the Rioja contest.
