Chromeo announce new album with “Personal Effects”

Canadian electrofunk duo Chromeo announces a new album for next February and to communicate it has shared a new single, “Personal Effects.”

Chromeo’s new song, which came out in the middle of the group’s tour, is postulated as a prelude to the next album, “Adult Contemporary”which will include fourteen new songs and will be available in February 2024 through the BMG label.

“Personal Effects”, the new single, hides behind it topics about routine and emotional responsibility. According to Chromeo singer Dave1, the upcoming album “Adult Contemporary” is “a meditation on modern, mature relationships, which means: if we have to sing about curling irons, so be it.”

The announcement of the new album has also revealed its track list, consisting of the following titles: “(I Don’t Need A) New Girl”, “Got It Good”, “Lost And Found”, “BTS”, “Replacements (feat. La Roux)”, “Lonesome Nights”, “Personal Effects”, “She Knows It (Personal Effects Pt. 2)”, “Ballad Of The Insomniacs”, “CODA”, “Words With You”, “A Cut Above”, “Friendsnlovers” and “Two Of Us (Friendsnlovers Pt. 2)”.

The video clip for the single is directed by Spencer Fordwho has already worked with other high-profile artists such as Brockhampton and Troy Sivan. Although Chromeo are still touring Australia and this year they released a new album with A-Trak and Ric Wilson, “Clusterfunk”the duo does not stop and we expect new material during these months.
